Did McCreery invent new words for national anthem?

When I was sent this video and told that American Idol winner Scott McCreery sang ?No Jose? instead of ?Oh say? in the Star Spangled Banner on Wednesday at the World Series, my reaction was ?No way (Jose).? But then I listened. Hilarity ensued. Look, you be the judge for yourself. The words in question come in at about the 1:22 mark in the video below:

Microphone work stoppage at the beginning is just a bonus.

I?m not saying he did it on purpose, but that sure sounded like ?No Jose? to me.

Imagined Simon Cowell response: ?Rubbish. Pointless. Sounded like two pigs falling off a lorry.?
