| American Airlines wants to toss out all of its union contracts in the wake of its bankruptcy filing last November. American now says it can no longer afford to wait after losing over a billion dollars last year alone.

Original bond holders and stock holders got nothing, the American taxpayer was forced to pony up millions to buy the new stock at an inflated price, and the taxpayers will never be paid back. All the GM debt was forgiven, which again falls on the back of the taxpayer. But the unions got their inflated wages and benefits, and big bonuses. The taxpayer got nothing.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott has appointed a new special prosecutor to investigate the Feb. 28 shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin. Scott is also forming a task force to look into the state's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law.
