?The A350 Is An Extremely Cargo-friendly Aircraft? ? Civil Aviation ...

What he means is that the A350 has an additional of three pallets of cargo space per aircraft. Just like the 77W, the A35J will have more cargo space than the 747.

Yeah and the Boeing 77W will be too! So what's the point? A Vs B...it's overrated!

Yes, this is to read in the article.

Not really. His statement in the article is true, but brings nothing new to the ones who have followed the civilian aviation market lately. And there are more very cargo friendly airplanes out there. ?.
Can somebody tell me what an A35J is?

Actually, for Airbus improving the cargo is a nice benefit for their customers. This brings excellent cargo to a slightly smaller airframe than the 77W. Airlines such as EK will benefit tremendously.

Lightsaber

On longer range flights, there is spae available however no payload. Payload is offloaded for fuel to get range.

Newer aircraft are more efficent, basically offloading fuel and returning the payload.

True, but not everyone needs the 8400nm range of the A35J. In case of BA, the A35J will offer more usable cargo space than their current 747 aircraft.

Is this not in response to the potential of the 777X freighter?

Ruscoe

@Ruscoe The title of this thread is misleading, it has nothing to do with a freighter. An A350 freighter hasn't been announced yet. The article is just about the extra cargo space (three additional pallets) in the belly of the A350-1000.

Three additional pallets compared to what?

IAG Cargo sounds like they manage the cargo side of the operations using the mainline fleet vice dedicated cargo aircraft.

And how many additional cargo-pallets have the B777 more than the 747?

What does the J stand for? Why not just say A350-1000?
J is the tenth letter in the ISO basic Latin alphabet.

It's easier than writing -1000 the whole time ?

How is it misleading? The title makes perfect sense.
